Cooler Master Boosts Investment for Global Liquid Cooling Production Expansion
Cooler Master a leading Taiwan based server liquid cooling enterprise has announced a major investment expansion in Vietnam to boost the mass production of AI server thermal modules liquid cooling CDU and supporting server equipment, further improving the delivery capacity of mature data center liquid cooling system for global high performance computing scenarios.
The investment expansion plan was officially confirmed during a meeting between Cooler Master senior management and Bac Ninh provincial government on March 10. According to local official sources and VietnamPlus reports the company has completed an initial investment of 200 million US dollars with the first phase Vietnam plant put into operation in July 2025. An additional 2.8 billion US dollars investment will be launched in the next few years to expand factory layout and optimize overall liquid cooling for data center industrial supporting capacity.
To support long term capacity growth Cooler Master is evaluating the lease of an additional 100 hectares of industrial land in Vietnam’s Gia Binh Industrial Park. Upon approval the expanded production base will create approximately 40000 local jobs by 2029 and build a large scale manufacturing base dedicated to high end data center liquid cooling solution mass production.
Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Taiwan Cooler Master is a world leading professional thermal solution provider. Starting from PC and graphics card water cooling products the company has rapidly expanded its business layout driven by booming high performance computing and cloud infrastructure demands. Its current product portfolio covers manifold quick connectors CDU and core components of cold plate liquid cooling, ranking it the top supplier of NVIDIA cold plate modules with the largest global shipment volume.
The booming iteration of AI large models has triggered explosive computing power growth and sharply increased chip power consumption pushing traditional air cooling to its performance limit. As the only viable solution for high power computing scenarios liquid cooling effectively reduces data center energy consumption by 30% to 50% with a 3 to 5 year cost recovery cycle becoming the core guarantee for efficient and stable AI data center cooling construction.

Leading technology enterprises including NVIDIA and Google continue to upgrade super node architectures such as NVL72 and TPU Pod driving data center power density to break through 300kW and above. The heat dissipation challenge has expanded from single chips to the entire server system making professional high density server cooling an essential standard configuration for next generation computing clusters.
The industry is witnessing a full stack liquid cooling trend with cooling solutions extending from traditional GPU and CPU cold plates to SSD optical modules switching chips and power supplies. Major manufacturers optimize thermal architecture for self developed ASIC chips at the design stage fully adapting to the technical requirements of liquid cooling for AI GPU data center and realizing comprehensive popularization of liquid cooling architecture.
Liquid cooling has evolved from a simple heat dissipation upgrade method to core infrastructure supporting high density computing and energy efficiency optimization. With accelerating market penetration and large scale industrial deployment continuous capacity expansion and industrial mergers mark the arrival of the billion dollar liquid cooling era. Large scale data center liquid cooling renovation has become a key investment direction for global cloud computing and high performance computing infrastructure construction.
